Nick Johnson injured
TAMPA - Yankee designated hitter Nick Johnson just fouled a ball off his right knee in the first innings vs. the Orioles and had to come out of the game. The Yankees had been having a relative injury-less spring training.
As the Bill Chuck Files point out, since 2002, Johnson has manged to play in only 747 games. Comparatively, J.D. Drew has played in 984 games during that time. We'll have an update later.
Update: Johnson has a bruised right knee and is day-to-day. No diagnostic tests were conducted. No word on whether Johnson will make it back for Opening Day on Sunday.
