Darnell McDonald was the most unlikely of heroes last night as the Sox edged the Rangers. Amalie Benjamin has that story.

Despite the win, the Sox allowed the Rangers to steal nine bases. The blame can be spread around.

They Epstein ripped the team for its poor start before the game, saying everybody in the organization is accountable. Amalie has that story as well.

The notebook has Mike Cameron and Jacoby Ellsbury going on the DL, David Ortiz being pinch hit for, Josh Reddick returning to the team and Daisuke Matsuzaka pitching in a rehab game tonight.
