Those selected to the Red Sox Hall of Fame are:

Center fielder Jimmy Piersall

Former manager and coach Don Zimmer

Infielder John Valentin

Outfielder and coach Tommy Harper

Former player, manager, scout, and executive Eddie Kasko

The Red Sox Great Moment selection was Tom Brunansky's sliding, diving catch along the right-field foul line to rob Ozzie Guillen of a hit to finish the 1990 regular season and give the Red Sox the division title. There were two outs and two on at the time.

"I managed in San Diego before Boston and as a manager in Boston, you learn pretty quickly that you have to be thick-skinned," Zimmer said. "Boston has knowledgeable fans and they're fanatic about the Red Sox. If the club's losing, they'll let you know. You get a real education coaching and managing at Fenway Park. When (Hall of Fame committee chairman) Dick Bresciani called me and told me I was in the Red Sox Hall of Fame, it was a total surprise and a great honor. As much as I took as a manager there, I love Boston and have many great memories from my days there."

Zim in the Hall of Fame. Somewhere in North Carolina, there's hope for Grady Little.
