The Sox are home for two days. Here are the lineups for tonight's game:

RED SOX (20-20)
Drew RF
Pedroia 2B
Martinez C
Youkilis 1B
Ortiz DH
Beltre 3B
Hermida LF
Hall SS
McDonald CF

Pitching: RHP Clay Buchholz (4-3, 3.46).

TWINS (24-15)
Span RF
Hudson 2B
Mauer C
Morneau 1B
Cuddyer RF
Thome DH
Kubel LF
Harris SS
Pinto 3B

Pitching: RHP Scott Baker (4-3, 4.93).

Game time: 7:10 p.m.

TV/Radio: NESN/WEEI.

State of the Sox: The Sox are coming of a 2-3 road trip. They start the day 8.5 games out of first place and have won nine of their last 15 games.

Feeling Minnesota: The Sox lost two of three to the Twins from April 12-15 and won't play them again this season after this short series.

Buch up: Buchholz has not pitched particularly well of late, allowing 11 earned runs on 20 hits and 13 walks over his last 17 innings. He has faced Minnesota once previously, giving up seven runs over 4.1 innings on May 12, 2008.

I want it all or nothing at all: David Ortiz this month: 13 games, 18 of 49 (.367), six home runs, 15 RBI. He has a 1.163 OPS. Here's something weird: In those 49 at-bats he has either had a hit (18) or struck out (17) 35 times.

J.D. raking: Drew is 26 of his last 64 with 11 extra-base hits, 19 runs scored, 17 RBI and nine walks. That's good for a 1.176 OPS.

Mr. May: Kevin Youkilis is at .408/.595/.755 this month. He has drawn 21 walks and scored 17 runs in 16 games. Yes, he has a .595 OBP this month. That is insane.

All we need is a little patience: Youkilis (32) and Morneau (30) lead the majors in walks. Morneau is first in the game with a ,482 OBP and Youkilis is second at .458.

Offensively minded: The Sox are third in the majors in OPS, third in runs scored and fourth in on-base percentage.

The defense rests: The Sox have allowed 17 unearned runs in 40 games.

On the iPod right now: She's So Cold by The Rolling Stones. Just ordered the remastered version of Exile on Main Street on line.

Back with much more later on.
