Home runs got the Red Sox back in the game against the Yankees last night and two home runs knocked them out of it. Amalie Benjamin has the story.

For Dan Shaughnessy, last night was a new low for the Sox.

Nick Cafardo writes that Alex Rodriguez did what great players do.

Nick also writes the Red Sox have slowed to a crawl on the bases but are making up for it with power.

Daisuke Matsuzaka let another big inning be his downfall. He was on the verge of tears last night.

The notebook has Victor Martinez connecting twice to perhaps break out of his slump. There are also updates on Tim Wakefield, Mike Cameron, Jacoby Ellsbury and some shaky plays in the outfield.

Sam Allis has the story about some people who go to Fenway Park but prefer hanging out on Yawkey Way during the game.

Nick breaks it all down on video.
