The Red Sox have a deal with fifth-round draft pick Henry Ramos. He will sign pending a physical and drug test.

An outfielder from Alfonso Casta Martinez High in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, Ramos is a switch-hitter with good power. Baseball America reported that he is a former soccer player with great athletic tools who needs time to develop in baseball.

He will be assigned to the Gulf Coast League.
