With Jeremy Hermida on the disabled list, the Red Sox are planning to tweak their roster.

According to Sox Prospects.com
, the Sox are planning to call up 27-year-old Daniel Nava from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Nava is hitting .294 for Pawtucket with eight homers and 36 RBI. He has a .384 on-base percentage.

Nava, a switch hitter who plays the outfield, is a former team manager at Santa Clara who transferred to a junior college and returned to Santa Cara as a player. He went undrafted, took a year off then played independent league ball before being signed by the Sox.

Josh Reddick has been optioned back to Pawtucket to play every day. The corresponding move will come before the game on Saturday and that looks to be Nava.

Casey Kelly is is heating up. The Double-A righthander allowed one run over five innings at Akron on Friday night. He has allowed one run on nine hits in his last 11 innings with two walks and nine strikeouts.
