Clay Buchholz was scheduled to throw a bullpen session today. That was dialed back to throwing on flat ground according to Terry Francona.

That could be a sign the Sox will push Buchholz back to Tuesday instead of starting him on Monday against the Rays. They do have that flexibility and Francona said the plan would be to proceed with caution.

Good news for Manny Delcarmen. His MRI was clear in terms of structural issues. His injury is muscular in nature and he could throw in the bullpen as soon as Friday.

Jeremy Hermida took what were termed as "aggressive" swings off the tee today. He'll take BP on the field Tuesday or Wednesday and could start a rehab assignment after the break.
