A few things to update you on:

* Carlos Delgado will DH for Triple A Pawtucket today.

* Slumping Jacoby Ellsbury was dropped to ninth in the order to give him a chance to settle into the game a little. "Let him see a couple of hitters before he has to bat," Terry Francona said. "Give him a little break. ... Jacoby's getting that 0 for 1 pretty quick."

* Jed Lowrie is out of the lineup again as the Sox manage his physical condition. He still has issues with stamina and energy coming off the mono and they're planning to use him for possibly the entire Toronto series.

Beyond that, it was a quiet pregame. The Yankees didn't have to report until 12:30 and neither club took batting practice. Both are off to the airport after the game, the Sox headed for Toronto and the Yankees to Texas.

Don't forget out live chat at 2:15 p.m.
