Received this press release today. It seemed like a worthwhile thing to share with you:

Kevin Youkilis and his charitable organization Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids will present a check for $100,000 to the Italian Home for Children on Wednesday at Fenway Park. The presentation will take place on the field at 4:30 p.m.

At the same time, Youk’s Kids will also receive a check from Burton’s Grill for $10,000, raised from the sale of the “Youk Burger." The burger was sold at all New England Burtons Grill locations this summer.

The Italian Home for Children is partnered with Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kid. The Home serves severely abused children who have been so traumatized, they can no longer function in everyday childhood settings. The Italian Home for Children offers these children a safe haven and the opportunity to put their lives back together, one step at a time. With individualized therapies and around-the-clock nurturing, the staff helps them to rebuild their lives."
