Having traveled a lot, I can tell you that we're lucky in Boston to have some top-notch broadcasters calling Red Sox games.

Which explains why NESN's own Don Orsillo will be doing the play-by-play for the Rangers-Rays series. Buck Martinez will be the analyst.

This is the fourth straight year Don was picked for a division series. I'm sure he'll be relieved to know that Terry Francona won't be sneaking up behind him this week. Those two were like Itchy and Scratchy at times.

One thing that really impressed this season was how professional and well-prepared Don, Jerry Remy, Joe Castiglione and Dave O'Brien were. Those guys were in the clubhouse every day and never took their jobs for granted. It was fun getting to know them.
