On Wednesday, Kevin Youkilis will host Sing into the Off-Season, a fund-raising event at the dueling piano bar Howl at the Moon on High Street in Boston.

The event will benefit Kevin's non-profit Hits for Kids foundation. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased on his web site or by calling (781) 444-9685.

The event will feature performances by local bands Entrain and Will Dailey, both of whom are featured on the CD Music Hits Home, a compilation created this summer that raises funds for the foundation.

Tickets include a copy of the CD. There also will be silent and live auctions and Hits for Kids merchandise. Hits for Kids, which was founded by Kevin, focuses om the health and well-being of children.

Kevin is one of the few Red Sox players who spends the entire year in Boston and he does a lot for charity, especially during the winter. This sounds like a fun event and what Kevin does for kids is worthy of your support.
