Good morning from Logan Airport. We're here waiting for a 6 a.m. flight to the Dominican Republic (via JFK in New York) to cover David Ortiz's charity golf tournament.

There are expected to be a bunch of Red Sox players on hand including Dustin Pedroia, Daniel Bard, Jon Lester, Darnell McDonald, Jed Lowrie and Tim Wakefield.

Adrian Beltre will be there as well along with Johnny Damon, Pedro Martinez, Vlad Guerrero, Robbie Cano, Ubaldo Jimenez and Francisco Liriano.

I begged the paper not to send me to a resort in the Caribbean where it was 75 degrees yesterday. But my heartless bosses are forcing me to go. On a serious note, it will be good to check in with those guys and write a few baseball stories this weekend. We also will have updates on the blog.

From the DR, it will be on to the Winter Meetings in Orlando. So hang with Extra Bases for all the hot stove news and notes.

UPDATE, 5:27 a.m.: Just noticed that ESPN.com is reporting Hideki Okajima will be non-tendered today. No surprise, given that's addition by subtraction.
