Welcome to baseball season.

The 18-wheeler that will carry Red Sox equipment from Boston to Fort Myers, Fla. is sitting outside Fenway Park this morning. There's fresh snow on the ground here, but visions of pitchers and catchers will soon be dancing in the heads of Sox fans from Barnstable to Bar Harbor.

Several Sox fans attended the festivities at Fenway Park this morning.

"I'm here because its been a long winter," said Kelly O'Connor of Arlington. "My whole year runs on the baseball cycle and this is a sign that its about to pick up."

Our own Sopan Deb was on the scene taking photos and shooting some video (above).

Pitchers and catchers report Sunday.

By the way, here are photo galleries of last year's Truck Day festivities, the 2009 Truck Day ceremony, 2008, and 2007. And for those of you who really, really canít get enough, we have photos of Truck Day way back in 2006 as well. Sickos.

Planning on heading to Florida to catch the new-look Red Sox at spring training? Be sure to check out our guide to the Fort Myers area before you go.
