Ex-Sox pitcher Saito leaves Brewers camp
FORT MYERS, Fla. — Former Red Sox reliever Takashi Saito has left Brewers camp in the wake of the devastating earthquake in Japan.
According to the Brewers, Saito has been able to reach his wife, Yukiko, and three daughters, but not his parents. He received permission to leave camp for an indefinite period.
Saito pitched for the Red Sox in 2009. The righthander had a 1.347 WHIP in 56 appearances.
