Tonight’s game will be rescheduled for a date this summer to be determined. Tickets for tonight’s game will be good for admission to that rescheduled contest.

John Lackey, the scheduled started tonight, is getting skipped. The new rotation:

Friday vs. Toronto: Clay Buchholz
Saturday vs. Toronto: Josh Beckett
Sunday vs. Toronto: Jon Lester
Monday vs. Toronto: Daisuke Matsuzaka
Tuesday in Oakland: John Lackey

Lackey is 17-5, 2.90 in 31 career starts against the A's, 8-4, 2.92 in 16 starts at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum.

"Basically Lackey is missing a turn so we don’t have to try to have guys going on a weeks’ rest," Terry Francona said. "It’s not perfect for him. We’ll try to map it out where it helps him. But rather than have five guys really pushed back way too much, we’ll take one and let Lack start the game out in Oakland, where’s had a lot of success."
