Josh Beckett made a statement last night, dominating the Yankees as the Red Sox won, 4-0.

Dan Shaughnessy writes that Beckett answered a lot of questions.

In his On Baseball column, Nick Cafardo writes that Dustin Pedroia has provided a much-needed spark for the Red Sox.

The Sox signed Clay Buzhholz to a four-year extension with two team options. Nick has that story.

Marco Scutaro came through in the clutch. Michael Vega has that story.

Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano rakes at Fenway Park. Mike also has that story.

The notebook has Johnny Damon expecting to get booed, Pedro Martinez wanting to come back and a special moment before the game.

In sad news for ladies who like the strong silent type, Jason Varitek is getting married again. Mark Shanahan and Meredith Goldstein have that scoop.
