ARLINGTON, Texas -- Good afternoon from sunny Texas and Rangers Ballpark. The Sox are on the field taking batting practice and getting ready for C.J. Wilson.

Not too much in the way of news this morning. After seven weeks of writing about what could happen, it's time to see what will happen.

"It's exciting. Today's a day you feel like a kid again," Theo Epstein said. "The season is finally here."

Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez seemed very at ease before their Sox debuts. Gonzo played cards while Crawford flipped though a magazine and watched the Astros-Phillies game.

"Today's the day," Crawford said. "Finally."

The photo is of Terry Francona signing for fans.
