Kevin Millwood lasted only 2.2 innings in his first minor-league start for the Red Sox. The 36-year-old righthander, pitching for Class AAA Pawtucket, allowed four runs on five hits and two walks against Norfolk. He struck out three.

Millwood has a 5.79 ERA in four starts in the minors for the Yankees and Red Sox this season. He has allowed 20 hits and 8 walks over 18.2 innings
