If the Red Sox trade for Erik Bedard, it'll be a leap of faith.

The Seattle lefty returned from the disabled list tonight and was rocked by Tampa Bay, giving up five runs on three hits and four walks in 1.1 innings. He threw 57 pitches, only 26 for strikes.

Bedard had been out with a strained left knee.

Hiroki Kuroda, come on down? The clock is ticking.
