Report: Surgery for Ryan Kalish
According to Alex Speier of WEEI, outfielder prospect Ryan Kalish will undergo season-ending surgery on Thursday. He has a bulging disc in his neck that is impinging a nerve.
Kalish played only 22 games for Pawtucket this season because of a partial tear of the labrum in his left shoulder followed by the discomfort in his neck.
Kalish, who turns 24 in March, should be ready for spring training.
