Red Sox manager Terry Francona said during his weekly appearance on WEEI that designated hitter David Ortiz and first baseman Adrian Gonzalez would be back in tonight's lineup in the first game of this important four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Ortiz had been sidelined the last two games vs. Toronto because of back spasms while Gonzalez pulled up after hitting a solo homer in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Jays because of left calf tightness. Gonzalez will return to the No. 3 spot in the batting order while Ortiz will hit in the cleanup spot.
