Ryan Lavarnway will be recalled tomorrow, Terry Francona said. He had to stay in Class AAA Pawtucket for 10 days or until the end of their season when he was optioned. Today is the end of the Pawtucket regular season.

There are no plans to call anybody else up until Pawtucket is done with the postseason.

In terms of other news:

Josh Reddick (left hand) is still sore from being hit by a pitch yesterday. He could miss another day. "He's got a pretty good bruise," Francona said.

Jed Lowrie (left shoulder) is available today. It seems they were just being cautious when Lowrie was pulled from the game yesterday.

There's always a lot of gum in a major league clubhouse, big buckets of it. Dustin Pedroia's son, 2-year-old Dylan, was loading up before the game, filling up his pockets. He gave some to Kevin Youkilis, too.

Francona welcomes the players having their sons in the clubhouse before the game. Most managers do these days.
