Red Sox gain ground on the Rays, but here come the Angels
The sad-sack Sox lost again tonight to fall to 88-68. But the Rays were swept by the Al East champion Yankees and at 85-70 are now 2.5 games behind the Red Sox.
Look out for the Los Angeles Angels. They beat the Blue Jays and have caught the Rays at 85-70. LA's schedule: one more game at Toronto then three at home against Oakland and three at home against Texas.
If the Sox keep choking, the Angels just may slide by everybody into the postseason.
