ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Kevin Youkilis, who went back to Boston to have his hip examined, may also be dealing with another injury to his groin and/or sports hernia type injury according to a team source. The Sox may have more details after the game.

The team also said that starter John Lackey, who allowed five runs in three innings, suffered a left calf contusion after being hit with a line drive by John Jaso to end the third inning.
