An on-line auction is underway now to benefit the David Ortiz Children's Fund and will continue through Dec. 2. You might want to check it out.

The auction at the Children's Fund web site includes these items:

• Hitting lessons with Ortiz. Visit batting practice and tour the stadium prior to a 2012 home game and get to meet David Ortiz. Also included is a pair of seats for the game.

• Playing catch with Dustin Pedroia. The winner of this experience will also receive four tickets to a Sox game at Fenway Park.

• Two tickets for VIP access to Style360, a multi-day fashion showcase during New York Fashion Week February 2012. Winners will be awarded VIP access to all fashion shows, backstage, media suite access, and after parties hosted at exclusive NYC nightclub. Front row seats also included. Package includes a three-night stay at the New York Marriott Marquis and two round-trip JetBlue vouchers.

• A 30-minute tennis session with Andy Roddick.

• Two US Open (tennis) suite tickets for one day session during the first week of the tournament. Includes hotel, dinner and flight.

• A vacation for 12 people at the Golden Dolphin Villa located on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Package includes a five-night, six-day all inclusive vacation for 12 people at the Golden Dolphin Villa. Includes spa treatments, a round of golf and a private chef for daily meals.

Ortiz's fourth annual Celebrity Golf Classic will be Dec 1-4 at the Fishing Lodge Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. Those scheduled to attend include Bill Russell, Robinson Cano, Rickey Henderson, Roberto Alomar, Jim Rice and Jose Bautista along with Tim Wakefield, Jose Reyes, Johan Santana,, Johnny Damon, Sean Casey and Luis Tiant.
