Red Sox get private workout for Cespedes

MILWAUKEE The news keeps coming here at Pfister Hotel.

Adam Katz, the agent for Cuban outfielder Yoenis Cespedes, said his client will hold a private workout for the Red Sox this weekend. Ben Cherington said yesterday that he was headed for the Dominican Republic on Friday to see Cespedes.

Katz told reporters that he believes Cespdes is ready to play in the major leagues. Nearly every team in the majors has expressed some degree of interest in the 26-year-old outfielder. According to Katz, Cespdes is a center fielder but would be willing to play the corners.
