DALLAS — The Marlins signed Heath Bell, Jose Reyes and Mark Buehrle. The Angels have signed Albert Pujols (10 years and $250 million) and C.J. Wilson (five years, $77.5 million) in the last few hours.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman put it well. "Wow. That’s all. Wow," he said.

Think the Red Sox are hoping that second wild card is added for 2012? The AL East has three solid teams in the Yankees, Rays and Red Sox and now the West has the Rangers and Angels. Throw in the Tigers and you have six powerhouse teams.

This wild spending certainly bodes well for Japanese pitcher Yu Darvish, who has been posted by the Nippon Ham Fighters.
