Good morning from Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. — It's Photo Day, which is exactly what it sounds like. The players, managers and coaches get in the home whites and get their photos taken by every media outlet with a camera in the free world.
The photographers literally line the field snapping shots. The pitchers have to look like they're throwing and the hitters like they're hitting. It's one of the rites of spring.
Now the players are on the field for the second full-squad workout.
Camp will start to quiet down now as the initial rush of spring training is over. The owners are over in Liverpool and a good chunk of the media will head back to Boston, leaving the regular beat crew behind.
There's a "B" game against the Twins on Thursday. The first major league games will be Saturday against Northeastern and Boston College. The first Grapefruit League game will be a week from today.
Check back later for more.
