FORT MYERS, Fla. The big game comes tonight when the Red Sox and Yankees tangle in their first spring training tilt in Tampa.

But back here at the Jet Blue park ranch, we'll see Clay Buchholz throw against minor league hitters and other assorted major leaguers to get his work in.

This is also the day when Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez takes some fly balls in the outfield. And it could be that he gets into a game in the outfield at some point in spring training.

Daisuke Matsuzaka continued to look like he's way ahead of schedule in his bullpen session. Matsuzaka threw to a catcher and Carl Crawford stood in the batters box and tracked pitches.

Andrew Miller also had a bullpen session and seemed to throw well.

Larry Lucchino spoke about the possibility of the team going to a six-man rotation on WEEI's Dennis and Callahan program. One would think the only way that happens is if Matsuzaka comes back to the rotation sometime in June.

Right now, the team is having trouble coming up with five starters.
