FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Red Sox have no game today. The timing works pretty well as the players can spend a day with their families before starting what will be a nine-day road trip on Monday with a trip to Washington.

But not everybody will get the day off.

Clay Buchholz is scheduled to throw 90 pitches or so in a Triple-A game at 1 p.m. at Fenway South. That will allow him to stay on his five-day routine. Andrew Bailey will follow him into the game.

Aaron Cook and Vicente Padilla will pitch in a Double-A game. Rich Hill is scheduled for a few simulated innings as he continues his rapid return from Tommy John surgery.
