Johnny Damon to sign with Indians
According to various reports, the first from Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, outfielder Johnny Damon will sign with the Cleveland Indians.
The Indians are looking for outfield help with Grady Sizemore out with a back injury.
Now 38, Damon has 2,723 career hits and would dearly love to get to 3,000. Can he stick around long enough to do that? If anybody has the desire, it's Johnny. He has played at least 141 games for 16 years in a row.
The Sox start a four-game series with Cleveland at Fenway Park on May 10.
