Games in New York (Giants-Mets) and Washington (Marlins-Nationals) have already been rained out.

But there is nothing yet to report on the Yankees and Red Sox at Fenway Park tonight. Once there is, we'll post it here. Promise.

This much we do know: Every forecast calls for steady rain to get heavier as the day goes on and into Monday. The chance of rain is 100 percent at 8:05 p.m. when the game is supposed to start.

The Red Sox are flying to Minnesota after the game and the Yankees are going to Texas. So making the teams hang around would tick off a whole lot of folks. But that has happened before, especially when national television is involved.

Meanwhile, if any team in the history of teams could use a rainout, it's the Red Sox.

We will keep you posted.
