PA mike to remain silent tonight in honor of Carl Beane
The Red Sox will leave the public address microphone silent tonight in honor of Carl Beane, who died after suffering a heart attack while driving his car in Sturbridge Wednesday.
Beane, 59, had been Fenway Park's public address announcer since 2003. The Red Sox made the announcement via Twitter.
Yesterday we lost our friend and voice, Carl Beane. Tonight the PA mic will be silent in his memory. #VoiceofFenway

There will also be a pregame tribute to Beane at tonight's game.
