Carl Crawford, who is working out in Fort Myers, Fla., is tentatively scheduled to DH in a Gulf Coast League Game on Saturday.

Also:

• Andrew Bailey threw 25 pitches in the bullpen on Wednesday and is set for another bullpen session on Friday. He said his surgically repaired right thumb has healed and he has started the process of rebuilding his arm strength.

Much like spring training, Bailey would progress from throwing in the bullpen to throwing batting practice and then appearing in games. If spring training is a guide, Bailey would need 8-10 innings of work in games before being ready to return to the majors.

• Jacoby Ellsbury worked out on the field for an hour today, a session that included six minutes of batting practice.
