Crawford and Ellsbury making progress

Carl Crawford was 2 for 4 with an RBI and played six innings in left field for Double A Portland at New Hampshire tonight.

Jacoby Ellsbury was 1 for 5 and played seven innings in center field.

Their respective nights:

Crawford
Fly ball to left
Single to right
1-6-3 double play
RBI single to right

Ellsbury
Fly ball to left
Fly ball to left
Single to center
4-3
Strikeout looking

Ryan Sweeney is expected to join the Sea Dogs on Thursday. Portland is at New Hampshire at 7:05 p.m.

Bobby Valentine has said that Crawford and Ellsbury are unlikely to be activated until after the All-Star break given all the time they have missed.
