Red Sox trade Lillibridge to Indians for RHP De La Torre

The Red Sox traded utility player Brent Lillibridge to Cleveland today, obtaining minor league RHP Jose De La Torre.

Lillibridge, one of the players obtained from Chicago for Kevin Youkilis on June 24, played in 10 games for the Sox, going 2 for 16 before being designated for assignment on July 16.

De La Torre, 26, was with the Mets from 2006-11 before signing with the Indians. He is 8-1, 2.91 in 34 appearances (one start) in Triple-A and Double-A. He has yet to play in a major league game.
