A story on the Fox Business web site suggests the Red Sox are for sale. The report doesn't site any sources and is largely speculative.

Here is what is known for sure. In an on-the-record interview held Aug. 22, team chairman Tom Werner said the team was not for sale and would not be for sale.

In an on-the-record interview this morning, team president Larry Lucchino said the idea was "nonsense."
