Ellsbury in the lineup . . . for a few minutes
Jacoby Ellsbury was in the original lineup before he tried to throw and then he was replaced in center field by Scott Podsednik.
The Red Sox haven't disclosed what the injury is. But it has been learned that Ellsbury has a lat strain.
In what is likely a related move, the Sox added outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin to the roster. He had been in Florida staying ready.
Not much else to report on a beautiful day at Fenway. We'll have updates once the game starts and then posts about the Johnny Pesky tribute after the game.
