AROUND THE BASES: Lackey allowed two runs on four hits over 3.2 innings. He was pleased with throwing 66 pitches and getting up and down four times. Lackey also has shown good command, walking only three in 9.2 innings. “It’s been pretty good. It’s definitely still coming. It’s not there yet,” Lackey said. “I’ve been around the zone. You can throw strikes and not throw it where you want exactly sometimes, too. It’s still a work in progress.” … Junichi Tazawa threw a scoreless eighth inning. He has retired 10 of the last 11 batters he has faced. … The game drew 7,069, the first sellout the Rays have had at Charlotte Sports Park this season.
