Notes: Dempster has had a strong spring. In three starts he has allowed two earned runs on six hits over 8.2 innings. He has struck out six without a walk. If the rotation stays on its current schedule, Dempster will start three more games this spring after today then face the Yankees on April 4. ... The Sox are 2-1 against the Twins in spring training, winning both games at Hammond Stadium. ... The Sox have a split-squad doubleheader on Friday, facing the Orioles in Sarasota at 1:05 and the Twins at Jet Blue Park at 7:05 p.m.
