Game over: Marlins 5, Red Sox 1: Jon Lester threw four strong innings and relievers Andrew Miller, Andrew Bailey and Junichi Tazawa all looked sharp. But a rocky seventh inning by Daniel Bard led to the loss.

Jackie Bradley Jr. was 1 for 4 with a walk.

Middle of the 9th: Marlins 5, Red Sox 1: Lefty Ryan Rowland-Smith, up from minor league camps, allowed two runs in the top of the inning.

Top of the 9th: Marlins 3, Red Sox 1: Tazawa threw a scoreless inning. The Sox left two runners on in the seventh and one in the eighth. They are 0 for 10 with runners in scoring position.

Middle of the 7th: Marlins 3, Red Sox 1: Tough inning for Daniel Bard. Single, single, groundout, Sac fly, Walk Two-run double.

Last 3 outings: 3 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 3 K. Plus a rocky minor league inning, too.

Top of the 7th: Red Sox 1, Marlins 0: Andrew Bailey worked around a double by Hechavarria in the sixth inning. Middlebrooks and Salty walked with one out in the bottom of the inning. But Gomes struck out and Carp popped up.

Top of the 6th: Red Sox 1, Marlins 0: Andrew Miller worked a scoreless inning. In the bottom of the frame, Jose Iglesias singled and was picked off. Bradley walked. But Nava popped out and Pedroia struck out.

Andrew Bailey is on the mound now.

Top of the 5th: Red Sox 1, Marlins 0: Another perfect inning for Lester. He is done after 50 pitches (38 strikes). His line: 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K.

Lester's line for the spring is pretty impressive: 24 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 20 K. That's a 0.75 ERA and a 0.50 WHIP. He faces the Yankees and CC Sabathia on Monday at 1:05 p.m.

Top of the 4th: Red Sox 1, Marlins 0: Lester allowed a single by Coghlan but that was it. The Sox got a two-out single from Nava but Pedroia flied to center.

Top of the 3rd: Red Sox 1, Marlins 0: Lester retired the side in order. His ERA for the spring is 0.82.

Gomes homered to left in the bottom of the inning, A fan atop the wall caught it.

Top of the 2nd: Marlins 0, Red Sox 0: Lester worked around a one-out single by Hechavarria, which should have been an error on Napoli.

Bradley, of course, led off the bottom of the inning with a single. He's a ridiculous 25 of 55. Nava walked before Pedroia bounced into a 1-6-3 double play and Napoli flied deep to right.

Pre-game: Good afternoon from JetBlue Park, where the Red Sox will host the Miami Marlins.

Opening Day starter Jon Lester is set for four innings and/or 65 pitches in his final tune-up. The Sox also will have Jackie Bradley Jr. in center field. He could have to be Kelly Leak today with Mike Carp in left and Daniel Nava in right.

We'll have updates here, so hang out, enjoy some baseball from afar and leave some comments.
