Game over: Pirates 9, Red Sox 3: Jon Lester allowed one run over four innings. But Steven Wright and Rubby De La Rosa allowed eight in the four innings that followed as the Red Sox fell to 6-6 in the Grapefruit League.

Top of the 9th: Pirates 9, Red Sox 2: Rough outing for Rubby De La Rosa (2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K) as the Pirates hammer away.

Top of the 7th: Pirates 6, Red Sox 2: Salty doubled before Bradley walked with two outs. Christian Vazquez singled in a run. Iglesias extended the inning by drawing a walk before Ciriaco popped out. Both teams have subbed out their starters for the most part.

Middle of the 6th: Pirates 6, Red Sox 1: Wright had another bad inning, giving up three runs on three hits and a walk. Lots of hard-hit balls.

Top of the 6th: Pirates 3, Red Sox 1: Sox go in order against Jared Hughes. Only three hits for the Sox thus far.

Middle of the 5th: Pirates 3, Red Sox 1: Rough inning for knuckleballer Steven Wright. With a runner on first and one out, he walked Marte and Snider. McCutchen's single single and a deep fly to left by Alvarez scored runs. Tim Wakefield is here to see Wright.

Top of the 5th: Pirates 1, Red Sox 1: Lester is done after four inning. His line: 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 54 pitches, 33 strikes. The Sox missed a chance to score in the fourth. Linares doubled with one out before Bradley walked. But Ross struck out and Iglesiasn flied to right right.

Top of the 4th: Pirates 1, Red Sox 1: Ciriaco singled and stole second with one out. After Holt walked, Gomes doubled in a run. Salty then grounded sharply to first, Jones going into foul territory to make the play after the ball took a sharp turn.

Middle of the 3rd: Pirates 1, Red Sox 0: Lester left the bases loaded in the second inning then worked a 1-2-3 third. The Sox have yet to reach base against Locke.

Middle of the 1st: Pirates 1, Red Sox 0: Marte led of with a triple to deep center. Lester fanned Snider but a run scored when McCutchen grounded to third. Holt made a terrific diving stop to make the play. Not bad for a player with almost no experience there. Alvarez then struck out.

Pre-game: It's sunny and 68 degrees at the Fort as the Red Sox prepare to play the Pirates. Jon Lester is set for four innings today. Should be fun to see Jackie Bradley Jr. and Andrew McCutchen in center field.

Stick around for updates.
