Game over: Red Sox 7, Phillies 6: Marco Duarte shuts down the Phillies to earn the save.

Top 9th, Red Sox 7, Phillies 6: Xander Boegarts and Bryce Brentz singled and Shannon Wilkerson drove in the run with a single.

Bottom 8th: Red Sox 6, Phillies 6 - Jimmy Rollins walked and Chase Utley homered. Ryan Howard homered - all the runs came off Ryan Rowland-Smith

Top 6th: Red Sox 6, Phillies 3- Jonathan Papelbon retired the side and induced a double-play grounder to Bryce Brentz. Papelbon didn't seem happy about getting so little work.

Bottom 5th: Red Sox 6, Phillies 3 - Big gusts of wind and rain is off and on here today. Daniel Bard came on to pitch and likely deserved a better fate. Dustin Pedroia hurried a throw to first base on Ben Revere's grounder and wound up on second base. After a passed ball by Ryan Lavarnway, Chase Utley singled to drive in the run.

Top 5th: Red Sox 6, Phillies 2 - The Red Sox had two on with one out after Mike Napoli singled and Will Middlebrooks doubled to leftcenter. But Lee struck out Gomes and Bradley to get out of the inning.

Bottom 4th: Red Sox 6, Phillies 2 - Shocking development: Jackie Bradley has committed an error. Bradley, playing left field dropped a pop up that Will Middlebrooks called for in short left field. It's really windy here so not sure it can be held against him.

Bottom 3rd: Red Sox 6, Phillies 2 - Workman struggled as he allowed an RBI single to Ben revere and one to Chase Utley.

Top 3rd: Red Sox 6, Phillies 0 - The Sox keep pouring it on Cliff Lee. Three straight singles by Shane Victorino, Dustin Pedroia and Mike Napoli loaded the bases and Will Middlebrook's reached on an error by Jimmy Rollins allowing two runs to score. Jackie Bradley drove in his fourth run with a sharp line drive sacrifice fly to center.

Developing: Jacoby Ellsbury left the game in the second inning, injuring something (leg, groin?) trying to get back to first base on a pickoff throw. Shane Victorino moved from right to center and Bryce Brentz went in to play right. Ellsbury attempted his first stolen base after that and was thrown out.

Top 2nd: Red Sox 3, Phillies 0 - It may have been wind-blown, but Jackie Bradley hit a three-run homer vs. Cliff Lee and may have sealed his fate on making the team. Will Middlebrooks singled to right and Jonny Gomes was hit with a pitch leading up to it.

Bottom 1st: Red Sox 0, Phillies 0 - Righty Brandon Workman, starting for the Red Sox, walked leadoff man Ben Revere but was caught stealing on a nice throw to second by catcher Ryan Lavarnway. Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley (strikeout) went down in order.

Top 1st: Red Sox 0, Phillies 0 - Jacoby Ellsbury attempted his first official stolen base of the season and he was thrown out by catcher Humberto Quintero. Shane Victorino and Dustin Pedroia (strikeout) went down against Cliff Lee.
