Game over: Twins 2, Red Sox 0: Christian Vazquez doubled off the wall (well off the net in the wall) with one out in the ninth. But the Sox were unable to score.

Back with more later.

Middle of the 9th: Twins 2, Red Sox 0: The Sox have been held to three hits in what has been a pretty nondescript game.

Top of the 7th: Twins 2, Red Sox 0: Alex Wilson and Anthony Carter have held the Twins down. But the Sox have only three hits and are 0 for 4 with runners in scoring position.

The Sox have made a bunch of substitutions at this point.

Top of the 5th: Twins 2, Red Sox 0: Dempster was cruising along until he gave up four straight hits with two outs in the third. His line: 3.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 66 pitches, 43 strikes.

The Sox have two hits.

Top of the 3rd: Twins 0, Red Sox 0: Dempster worked around a leadoff single before the Sox went in order.

Top of the 2nd: Twins 0, Red Sox 0: Dempster had a perfect inning. The Sox loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the inning but nava struck out and Middlebrooks flied out to the wall in right.

Pre-game: Good evening from JetBlue Park and tonight's game against the Twins. Ryan Dempster will face Mike Pelfrey.

The game is on NESN and WEEI, but we'll have occasional updates here. Please feel free to leave comments, too.
