Stat of the Day: Along with his struggles against Dempster, JJ Hardy is 4 for 25 in his last six games against the Sox with just two extra base hits and one RBI.

Notes: Ryan Dempster (1-0 all-time against the Orioles with a 1.35 ERA) went 13 years between his two starts against the Orioles. The first was in 1999. The most recent was last September ... Arrieta is winless in four starts against the Sox (0-4, 6.00 ERA) ... Shane Victorino has reached base in every game this season ... So has Adam Jones, whos done it with five multi-hit games. Hes hit seven home runs in 43 career games at Fenway and his 20 RBIs at Fenway are the most hes driven in at any visiting ballpark.

Song of the Day: "Let's Start Over," by Miles Jaye.
