Good morning from Logan Airport. We're waiting for a 6 a.m. flight to Detroit and a four-day Red Sox road trip. Quick turnaround from covering the game last night, but a window seat on the plane will provide a chance to nap.

The Red Sox (44-30) at the Tigers (39-31) should be a fun series because the teams lead their respective divisions. Plus getting to see Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder play for four days is a treat.

“I think we felt coming into this month this presented … a very strong test for us,” John Farrell said. “We’ll get four full days of them. They’ve got a couple of pretty good players over there. We’re going to get challenged in Detroit. We know that. But I’d like to think they’re probably going to feel the same when we leave there.”

Lots of Bruins jerseys in the airport this morning. This is certainly an interesting time in Boston sports with the Bruins in the Cup, the Red Sox with the best record in the American League and the Celtics seemingly on the verge of trading Doc Rivers.

Thanks for following along. Check back later for the lineups and game preview.
