David Ortiz Children's Fund Gala will be May 19

The second annual David Ortiz Childrenís Fund Gala will be May 19 at the Mandarin Oriental in Boston.

The event will benefit the David Ortiz Childrenís Fund. The Fund, in partnership with MassGeneral Hospital for Children and the World Pediatric Project, provides critical pediatric healthcare to children in New England and the Dominican Republic.

Tickets are available for the island-inspired evening, where guests will have the opportunity to mix with Bostonís biggest names in sports and entertainment. There will be a Dominican-themed cocktail reception, live Latin music and dance entertainment as well as a three-course seated dinner all hosted by Ortiz.

Guests will have access to an exclusive silent and live auction featuring memorabilia and experiences.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. General admission is $300 per person or $550 per pair during the month of March, $350 per person or $650 per pair during the month of April or $400 per person or $700 per pair during the month of May.

VIP Tickets (which include an autographed David Ortiz jersey and a photo opportunity with Ortiz) are $850 per person during the month of March, $900 per person during the month of April or $950 per person during the month of May.

The David Ortiz Childrenís Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. The Fund has currently netted over $1.75 million and provided over 200 children with live-saving heart surgery in the Dominican Republic.
