Notes: The Yankees roll into Fenway in first place in the AL East while the last place Red Sox trail them by 2.5 games... Jacoby Ellsbury had five hits against the Red Sox when the Yankees won three of four in the Bronx from April 10-13 and is batting .338 for New York this season... Since Aug. 2012, Masahiro Tanaka has gone 30-0... Tanaka has 28 strikeouts while issuing only two walks in 22 innings in 2014... Derek Jeter has a 10-game hitting streak and is 22 for 66 all-time vs. Jon Lester... Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira (hamstring) returned from the 15-day disabled list Sunday.

Lester has allowed two earned or fewer with at least six strikeouts in all four starts this season... He is just the third Red Sox pitcher over the last 100 years to begin a season with such a streak... Lester has allowed four earned runs or less or in all 10 of his starts against the Yankees dating back to the beginning of 2012, going 4-2 with a 3.50 ERA in those games... The Red Sox are batting .238 as a team and slugging just .361... Dustin Pedroia is 6-for-11 with four doubles in the last three games... Third baseman Brock Holt is 6-for-14 with three RBIs and three runs scored since being called up from Pawtucket.
