Notes: Right fielder Shane Victorino sits at the start for the first time since last Sunday, moving Jackie Bradley Jr. into right, Grady Sizemore into center for the second time since April 8, and Xander Bogaerts up to second in the order. The rookie shortstop hasn't hit higher than sixth since April 17 ... Oakland lefty pitcher Tommy Milone has completed at least six innings in each of his last three starts, but has allowed nine earned runs while striking out only four over those 18.2 frames ... The Red Sox are 7-4 against left-handed starters, while the A's are 6-3 ... The Sox scored eight runs (seven earned) in 4.2 innings when they faced Milone in April 2012. David Ortiz homered twice in that game, while Pedroia had two hits, including a double ... The A's lineup against Lester features four switch-hitters and only one lefty, that being Josh Reddick ... Among AL teams, only Detroit and Baltimore have better records than the Red Sox (7-6) since April 19.
